Privacy Policy
Last updated July 6, 2026
ProveMyApp ("ProveMyApp," "we," "us") runs a community and public directory where app founders track and share verified growth metrics. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using provemy.app you agree to it.
Information you give us
- Account: your email, and if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo from Google.
- Profile: username, display name, bio, location, avatar, social handles, a contact email if you add one, and any custom links — most of which are public by design.
- Your apps: app names, descriptions, store links, and stage.
- Community content: posts, comments, channel and direct messages, guides, and applications you submit.
Connected analytics & revenue sources
To verify traction, you may connect third-party services (for example PostHog, Mixpanel, Firebase, Stripe, RevenueCat, Superwall, Lemon Squeezy, or Polar) by providing an API key or token. We use those credentials only to read the metrics you choose to display — install/user counts, monthly active users, and monthly recurring revenue. Credentials are encrypted at rest and are never shown to other users or exposed to your browser. You can disconnect a source at any time, which stops the pulls and clears the cached numbers.
Information collected automatically
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and we may collect basic technical and error data (for example via Sentry) to keep the product working. If you enable notifications, we store your browser's push subscription so we can send them.
How we use your information
- To run your profile, apps, leaderboards, and the community.
- To verify and display the metrics you choose to make public.
- To send notifications you've opted into (new-user pings, milestones, community activity).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
What's public, and what isn't
ProveMyApp is a public directory, so your profile, your public apps, and the metrics you mark as shown are visible to anyone — that visibility is the point. You control this per metric (private, milestones-only, or exact), and you can mark an app as stealth to hide its identity while still counting your standing. Private numbers and disconnected sources are never shown. Direct messages are visible only to you and the other participant.
The @ProveMyApp account on X
When one of your public apps crosses a verified milestone, we may post a short congratulatory note from our own X (Twitter) account that names your app. Only public wins are ever posted, and you can keep an app private or stealth to opt out.
Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that run ProveMyApp — Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), and error/notification providers — and with the analytics or revenue services you explicitly connect. Public profile data is, by design, visible to everyone. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account by contacting us (below); we'll remove your profile, apps, connected credentials, and community content, except anything we must retain for legal or security reasons or that others have already shared (for example, a message another member received).
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, encrypted storage of connected credentials, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe and to fix issues quickly.
Your choices
You can edit or hide most profile fields, change each metric's visibility, disconnect any source, adjust notification preferences, and request access to or deletion of your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.
Children
ProveMyApp isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this policy as the product evolves and revise the date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
